Tuesday 21 September at 7.30pm
Speaker: Dr. Erinn Richmond, Associate lecturer, School of Biology, Monash University
Dr. Richmond from Monash University is studying the potential harm to freshwater aquatic environments posed by drugs; traces of which are increasingly being detected in waterways. Together with scientists from the US and Sweden she is studying whether microplastics aid the transportation of drugs into the diets of aquatic creatures from insects, larvae and to crayfish. This will be an important and fascinating talk from this young scientist.
Convenors: Penny Johns, Sarah Brenan, Elizabeth Barraclough and Gillian Trahair
