Margot Foster is an expert in governance; she is a qualified lawyer and mediator; director and Chairman on diverse boards since 1989 – locally, nationally, regionally and internationally. She is an entrepreneur who also excels at elite sports, (Bronze Medallist, 1984 Olympics; Gold Medallist, Commonwealth Games 1986). Margot is sought out as a mentor.
Margot has given wonderful service to other Boards and offers no less to the Lyceum Club. She recognises the pioneering nature of the Club and seeks strategies that retain well-loved aspects of Club life, while allowing for changes that will mean financial security and activities in which those not physically close to the Club, or who find it difficult to be there during traditional hours, an still participate actively.
Margot is respected for her knowledge and breadth of experience in governance, and also for including others whose views may differ, developing strategic solutions that are clear, detailed and understood by those impacted. Her lived experience of working to improve her own performance, coaching and mentoring others and assisting organisations strategically and to improve their governance means Margot offers a broad perspective. Drawing on diverse experiences, she would make an invaluable contribution to the Lyceum Club.
