Ms Mikaela Stafrace

I am deeply committed to our Club having been a member for many years. I was married at the Club and have held many significant family events here.

I founded the Speakers Corner, initiated and arranged the annual debates with other Melbourne clubs, facilitated the Younger Members’ Dinner

(when I was younger!) and have, over the years attended various Circles including Professional Women’s, Science and Medicine, Finance

and Investment and Round Table.

As an MBA-qualified lawyer, I spent many years providing insurance, risk, governance and regulatory compliance advice.

I am a qualified company director and have served on government boards and industry associations. In addition to holding

an LLB; B.Com; MBA; GAICD and admission to the High Court, I am a Williamson Fellow.

I am the Founder of WomenCAN Australia and established The Placement Circle, a charity devoted to the education and

employment of women as a pathway out of poverty and homelessness. I am presently the Deputy Chair of CERES.

My experience in these roles has taught me the importance of values led leadership, cross-sectoral collaboration and of

peer-led solutions to complex problems.
